Hi guys,

I have been thinking, wouldn't it be great to have Star Trek maps for Nightfire?  I think it would so with the help of 1Ziyo1 and Ehrgeiz, I have started a dm_uss_voyager map!  When I feel it's playable I'll ask King-Ahmed to put the first release on his site, but it still needs work at the moment.  I will also try to make a video on the map.  I hope to make decks 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 11 playable, but for now i'm just working on the top 3.  There are new textures and sounds, and I might make a Star Trek Voyager mod for Nightfire one day too.

Can't help but ask, but why is the carpet and wall texture scaling at 1? And the lighting is all flat throughout the level, as if you just put a single light entity in every room. Try some light_spot's on your wall lamps pointing up and adjusting the fading angles to give a really nice look.

@Fritz123, thanks :)  @norulezgaming, i'm not at your level of mapping at the moment lol so try to put up with my newbies work.  However you have suggested how I can improve so I won't make the mistakes again which is great :)  With the lights I think I know what you mean but i'm not sure what you mean about scaling 1.  Also are me and Ziyo the only Nightfire trekkies?  Lol.

Hi,

I think what bullets means is the possibillity to scale / shift the textures by  factors X and Y , rotate and justify them and more in the texture editor window of the map-editor you are using (gearcraft or hammer?),whre you select the textures for the selected face.

It opens when you click on the coloured "Rubik's Cube"-symbol in the editor menue bar on the left upper side (usually it's on the left upper side, but it can differ).

CBMI6, are you developing the map with Zyio? I didnt see him for a while and i am still waiting for his lava-map. If you see him, please tell him that i wait for the release

@norulezgaming, the wall panels are suppost to be like that as the real ship from the TV series is like that but I know what you mean about the carpet, I will fix it :)

@Fritz123, I'm using Gearcraft

@beverlypills, no just me and Ehrgeiz mainly and I asked about the maps and he said first one done, 2 is still being built and 3 is halfway done :)

Good news guys, I have found my old Voyager maps and are working on them again!  Sorry for never uploading a release, I never seem to get any maps playable, but I am trying with the new one!

Progress is being made with Voyager, however I need some help with Gearcraft to know if some of the ships functions are makeable.  Firstly, how can you make func_wall_toggle flash like red alert?  (Example here https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-k9maF7P522o/V1bLOKN097I/AAAAAAAAAtw/-Scy98lk-E8Ar0XG96Rzj2Z7AyL_43UuwCL0B/w600-h400-no/voyagerredalert.gif)  Also, how would the viewscreen lights be made?  (Example here https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-Pk9ovXzw5eI/V1bLYAzkZTI/AAAAAAAAAuE/2BBuHYGT23MLoBn2M8lUtH5fQN9x9bODQCL0B/w600-h400-no/voyagerviewscreen.gif)  If anyone knows how to help I would appreciate it :)
